How do I create a property portfolio for easier permission assignment?
A Property Portfolio is a flexible grouping of properties that you can create to manage data access permissions for your users. By assigning a user to a specific portfolio, you can limit their management rights to only the properties, tenancies, and other associated data within that group.
This guide explains how to create and configure a new property portfolio.
Step 2: Define the Portfolio Details
In the creation form, you will need to provide the following information:
- Name: Give the portfolio a clear and descriptive name (e.g., "Downtown Residential" or "Commercial Units").
- Description: Briefly describe the purpose or contents of the portfolio. This can help with organization as you create more portfolios over time.
Step 3: Select Properties for the Portfolio
The final step is to choose which properties to include in this group.
- From the list of available properties, check the box next to each property you want to add to the portfolio.
It's important to note that portfolios are not mutually exclusive; a single property can belong to multiple portfolios (e.g., Portfolio A and Portfolio B) simultaneously.
Once you have made your selections, click Save. The portfolio is now created and can be assigned to users to define their data access permissions.
