How to understand the status of a tenant tenancy?

The tenant tenancy list uses a combination of statuses to help you track the entire lifecycle of a lease, from creation to termination.

Understanding these statuses is key to managing your tenancies effectively.

Each tenancy has a Main Status indicating its current stage in the lease term, and a parallel Detailed Status that provides more specific context about upcoming or completed actions.

Main Statuses

These four statuses represent the primary phase of the tenancy:

  • Pending Start: The tenancy has been created, but its official start date has not yet arrived.
  • Ongoing: The tenancy's start date has passed, and the lease is currently active.
  • Expired: The tenancy's end date has passed, but the tenancy has not been formally terminated in the system yet.
  • Ended: The tenancy has been officially terminated and is no longer active.

Detailed Statuses

These statuses appear alongside the main status to give you more precise information:

  • Near Expiry Date: The tenancy is approaching its end date, but no renewal or move-out process has been initiated yet.
  • Renewed: The manager has completed the renewal process, and a new subsequent lease has been created.
  • Notified: Check Out On Schedule: The manager has sent a move-out notification, and the checkout is marked as on schedule.
  • Notified: Early Termination: The manager has sent a move-out notification, and the checkout is marked as an early termination.
  • Notified: Late Move-Out: The manager has sent a move-out notification, and the checkout is marked as a late move-out.
  • Checked Out On Schedule: The move-out process has been completed, and it was on schedule.
  • Early Termination: The move-out process has been completed, and it was an early termination.
  • Late Move-Out: The move-out process has been completed, and it was a late move-out.
  • Voided: The new tenancy created from a renewal has been automatically voided after the renewal process was canceled.
